Extended producer responsibility for packaging: New forum aims to simplify the rules
The Minister for the Environment has established a new business forum to reduce the administrative burden of the extended producer responsibility for packaging, which came into force on 1 October 2025. The forum will collect concrete proposals from businesses on how rules and administrative practices can be simplified within EU law, without compromising the green goals. The recommendations will be processed by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency and submitted to the government. The forum will run until March 2026.
