Titanium Dioxide – Properties, Uses and Safety in Industry

On November 23, the EU Court of Justice annulled the harmonized classification of Titanium Dioxide with Carc. 2 H351.
The classification is revoked as the EU Court of Justice believes that the classification is based on tests that are not in accordance with the CLP regulation guidelines.
The classification as Carc. 2 is therefore contrary to the legislation and is repealed.
The EU Commission has 2 months and 10 days to appeal the outcome of the case.
