On November 9, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency issued a press release under the headline “UV filter is hormone disruptor”, which is about the fact that the Danish Environmental Protection Agency has gained new knowledge about the UV filter Benzophenone-3 (BP-3). The press release has given rise to a number of articles in Danish media that give the distorted impression that a dangerous substance has suddenly been found in sunscreen, and that consumers should therefore be concerned about using their sunscreen.
