Registration of products in PROBAS – PR review

What is a PR review?

The purpose of the Product Register in Denmark is to register and create an overview of the distribution and use of hazardous substances and materials in Denmark.

Products must be notified to the Product Register if you as a company manufacture, import or change the trade name of hazardous chemical substances in quantities from 100 kg up to 1000 kg per year or products/mixtures in quantities from 100 kg per year that are used commercially.

Product reviews (also called PR reviews) of products must be made via The Danish Labour Inspectorate's website.

Liquid substances and materials that are exclusively reportable due to the content of one or more of the following substances are exempted:

  • Iron oxide
  • Kaolin, breathable
  • Silicic acid, SiO2, amorphous
  • Silicic acid, SiO2, amorphous, respirable
  • Titanium dioxide
  • Substances and materials that are exclusively covered by the non-specific limit values ​​for organic dust and mineral dust (see more details in the Danish Working Environment Authority's executive order on limit values ​​for substances and materials).

Should Mediator help you with product reviews?

The product will receive its PR number as soon as the notification is registered. You should pay attention to the message from the Danish Working Environment Authority in your e-box regarding your PR numbers.

What do I need to fill out when submitting a product review?

There are a number of items that must be completed when you report a product to the Danish Working Environment Authority:

Product review in other countries?

Is your product subject to the requirement for a product notification? Then the full recipe of the product must be known. If the recipe is at the raw material level, these raw materials must be notified in the country in question. The function of the product and the industry in which it is used must also be disclosed. There are different requirements from country to country, which may require additional information or payment to have a product notified. You must be aware when there are recipe changes in your product.
