Dangerous goods course

IATA Course

You will gain the necessary skills to handle, classify, pack, label and document dangerous goods for air freight. All in accordance with the international rules of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).

We offer both a basic course and a refresher course.

  • IATA Dangerous Goods Basic is for you who have not previously attended an IATA Dangerous Goods course and who want to be fully compliant from day one.
  • IATA Dangerous Goods Refresher er a refresher course where your knowledge is refreshed so that you remain well-equipped to handle dangerous goods for air freight.
IATA Dangerous Goods Refresher is necessary if you would like to extend the validity of the IATA certificate.

Both courses are offered as an open course here at Mediator.

If you are more than 5 people, we would recommend that we come to you and hold the course especially for you.

IATA Dangerous Goods Basic

Become qualified to handle, pack, label and document dangerous goods for air freight in accordance with IATA DGR. The course provides you with the necessary skills as a shipper or freight forwarder and covers, among other things, identification of dangerous goods, packing instructions, labeling and correct completion of documentation.

The practical

  • Duration: 3 days
  • Language: We teach in Danish, the course material provided is in Danish, but the professional literature and legal text are in English.

IATA Dangerous Goods Refresher

Extend the validity of your IATA certificate for another 2 years and stay up to date on all changes in the IATA DGR from the past two years. The Refresher course is for those who have previously completed IATA Basic and still want to meet the competency requirements. The course covers, among other things, identification of dangerous goods, packing instructions, documentation, marking and relevant exemptions.

The practical

  • Duration: 2 days.
  • Requirements: A valid IATA certificate.
  • Language: We teach in Danish, the course material provided is in Danish, but the professional literature and legal text are in English.

As our IATA Dangerous Goods courses are built on the legal basis of the "IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR)", which are prepared in English, we recommend that participants have a reasonable knowledge of English in order to get the full benefit of the course and be able to navigate the IATA DGR safely.
The training concludes with a written test, which ensures that participants have not only reviewed the material, but can also translate it into practical, correct handling of dangerous goods in the company.
