Home » New proposal to amend the Working Environment Act and the Chemicals Act
The Danish Working Environment Authority has submitted a bill that aims to simplify the rules for companies by repealing The product registerThe proposal involves an amendment to both the Working Environment Act and the Chemicals Act, including the repeal of section 49 a of the Working Environment Act. This means that the existing authorization to lay down rules on the establishment, operation and use of a register of substances and materials – and the obligation for companies to report to the register – is proposed to be removed.
The purpose of the proposal is to ease administrative burdens for business and create more efficiency and a less complex framework for companies that handle chemical substances and materials as part of their activities.
The bill is still under consideration, but could have an impact on companies' reporting obligations if adopted.
