New EU deadline: 56 new allergens – are your products ready?
The cosmetics industry is facing a significant change: the EU is expanding the list of fragrance allergens that must be declared from 26 to 82 substances. The requirements will apply to new products from July 31, 2026 – and existing products must be updated by 2028 at the latest.
This means not only new labels, but also updated documentation and closer collaboration with suppliers. Many underestimate how extensive the work is.
