Home » Mediator rounds at plastics companies
The consultancy firm Mediator has been successful in providing new eyes for plastics companies in Denmark. Through so-called rounds, the chemistry specialists look into the companies thoroughly and examine whether everything is as it should be legally and suggest where optimization and improvement can be made.
When Mediator is brought onto a company's team, the consultants review a wide range of factors and work processes where the company must be compliant, or which could otherwise get them into trouble with the legislation. After the rounding, the different areas of focus are graded with either a red, yellow or green grade, says Jens Haugaard, and gives a few examples that will trigger a yellow grade, and a call for improvement: Outdated permits or new products in production. An ISO certification does not automatically mean that production complies with the legislation. You can also have produced the same products in more or less the same way for many years, and therefore feel safe. But very small changes in production or completely new products in the portfolio can mean that new production permits or certifications are needed to be compliant.
