Home » EUDR: Postponement and simplification of requirements in the Deforestation Regulation
The European Parliament has adopted amendments to the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), postponing its entry into force and simplifying requirements for companies. Large companies will now have to comply with the rules from 30 December 2026, while small companies will have until 30 June 2027. At the same time, due diligence requirements are relaxed, especially for small and micro enterprises, and traceability requirements are simplified. The amendments are intended to ensure a smoother implementation without weakening the objective of preventing deforestation in EU supply chains.
