Producer responsibility for packaging in Denmark
We need to use less packaging and make the packaging we use greener. That is why Producer Responsibility for packaging is now being implemented in Denmark. Producer responsibility is intended to encourage companies to reduce packaging consumption, increase recycling and increase the use of reusable packaging. The first part of the regulation came into force on 1 April 2024. This means that companies must register expected packaging volumes made available by 31 August 2024.
